High School Summer Camp ’17ROCK SUMMER CAMP
What is the ROCK?
The ROCK is our high school ministry (9th – 12th grade).
The purpose of The ROCK is to help students become authentic followers of Jesus Christ as they come to KNOW God, GROW closer to Him, and then GO serve Him.
When does the ROCK meet?
The ROCK meets on Wednesday nights @ 7:00 p.m in the youth building.
What should my high schooler expect?
When you step on campus, you will be greeted by our Pastor of Student Ministries, Matt Johnston, or Life Group (LG) leaders. The ROCK typically starts with everyone gathered together for a time of connection, worship and teaching. We then break off and spend time engaging in community through Life Groups. Life Groups are gender- and grade-specific. Life Groups create a space for students to process together about the teaching. Life Group leaders are equipped and trained to facilitate discussion within a high school context. These smaller communities within the larger body become the places where relationships, authenticity, and a deep love for God and one another take hold as we do life together. Its also the place where we help hold one another accountable for our spiritual development. Come on a Wednesday night and get plugged into a Life Group.
Who leads it?
The ROCK is led by Matt Johnston.
